A two-fold bounty today! A new comic and a quick Halloween sketch for your viewing pleasure. I decided I would start out with a classic horror icon, Count Dracula as he appeared in his earliest, film manifestations.

I always get excited around October for two reasons in particular. One, autumn happens to be my favorite time of year. There’s nothing like seeing the trees turn over their color and smelling burning leaves on the wind. The second reason, of course, is Halloween!
While I personally connect Halloween to a long standing American tradition, this particular holiday is great for everyone. If you’re too old for trick-or-treating, throw a costume party. Visit a haunted house. Watch a scary movie. Read Edgar Allan Poe.
Sometimes you just need to turn to your local webcomic to get into the spirit. Over at HPKomics, the festive mood has taken over. HPK, along with quite a few other talented artists, have been showing off various monster sketches. Not only is it a joy to check out, it has inspired me to attempt some Halloween sketches of my own.
It’s still early, of course, but I have a feeling we’ll be seeing more and more cartoonists falling into the season. I’ll post up links as I find ‘em and you should too! Feel free to swing by and leave a comment or three.
Yes, this is eventually going to be the new site, but I need to customize it to the point where I’m happy with how it looks. Previously I had been using Comikaze, but since that script is no longer being supported (and Wordpress has so many goodies), I thought I’d make the switch.
