I wish I had pictures of all the snow in the parking lot today, but like the majority of folks caught in this semi-historical onslaught of wintery madness, I was too busy excavating our two vehicles from their snowy prisons.  You can imagine how grateful I was that when I went to Ace Hardware on Monday, I bought the last “normal” shovel (there was a zig-zaggy one that didn’t look too effective).

So in lieu of an actual photo, I’ve included my most recent Wacom experiment, themed appropriately of course.  Now, I usually work with pencil, ink, and paper.  For whatever reason, I have not been able to make the jump from dead tree to digital.  Maybe it’s lack of practice (though I color every S&F strip with my Wacom) or maybe it’s some setting or driver issue I’m not aware of.  I just can’t seem to squeeze out the quality I like from my aging tablet.  That said, it’s still fun to play around.  Maybe I’m being too hard on myself?

It’s been a tad surreal being trapped inside for the past day and half.  So much so I was thankful for the hard labor of shoveling just to get out of the apartment!  It made me wonder what all my readers have been up to.  Stuck inside?  Forced to go to work?  Blissfully unaware of the travails of those of us stuck in this crazy weather?  Either way, I hope the latest strip proved to be entertaining.  People seem to need milk like nothing else before a storm… simply bizarre.
